Sasuke won because he had to in other to progress the storyline and show how far he's fallen.



You act as if KA doesn't one shot everyone.

This is a fictional story. Everything is plot. It's dumb to selectively use it. It's plot that Sasuke didn't one-shot Danzo, and it's plot that Danzo didn't one-shot Sasuke. Either option and many others could happen if Kishimoto wanted. This is a battle manga. Hard fought battles are a good attraction. So he made them actually fight as opposed to an easy win.

Kishimoto wanted to show how far he progressed? Which is why he made Sasuke have arrows that were so quick that his opponent couldn't even weave hand seals in time, much less evade. To keep Danzo from being one-shotted, he gave him Izanagi so there would be an extensive battle. To keep Sasuke from being one-shotted, he placed limits on KA. To keep Sasuke from not using Susano'o all the time, he placed limits on it aswell.

Plot, plot, and plot.

Danzo never evaded Susano'os attacks. The Arrows were so quick that Kakashi couldn't even evade in time and had to use Kamui to warp it away (chapter 484). Sasuke's use of Genjutsu was so subtle that even with Shisui's eye, Danzo may not have been aware that he was caught in one.

It's only the arrow that gave him problems.

@ Underline cut the garbage. Sharingan lets u see through genjutsu. And danzo was seeing though his genjutsu even without sharingan. Sasukes genjutsu only works for an incredibly small period of time on danzo, and while i do credit him for using that limited time frame to his advantage with a sharingan danzo wouldn't even fall for that.

Plot induced stupidity held Sasuke down far more than it did Danzo. Not once did Sasuke use Genjutsu to follow it up with amaterasu. Not once did Sasuke camp inside susanoo and release Kirin on any kages. nothing.

i can't really decide between the 2 since i feel like his tactical ability was equally brilliant in both fights. He went in blind against Deidara as well and effectively shut down most of Deidara's offense with his use of Raiton.

not as tactical but still more impressive imo. the problem was that the pain arc was so damn good that anything immediately afterwards seemed mediocre hence why the arc and it's fight is downplayed.

I forgot about that. He evaded Susano'os punch once, the other time he was hit.

The first Genjutsu was merely a test to see if Genjutsu would even work on him. Tobi pointed this out at the end.

With Shisui's Sharingan, Danzo would most likely be able to see through his Genjutsu, but if he waa using this eye, whose to say Sasuke would use Genjutsu? He could form a different strategy.
