Between Gaara and Shino who's fighting style provides a more tactical advantage?

Im slightly leaning towards Shino due to his bugs having tracking capabilities but the fact that Gaara can fly easily gives a great tactical advantage as well

Shino can fly too using both his insects and summoning (Bolt episode 6)

Personally i wanna shino, but I think Gaaras sand being able to focus on defense just as much as offense as well as be an “auto-guard” for damn near anyone he’d actually run into would make it gaara

In Boruto episode 6 we saw a possessed Shino not only fly by surrounding himself in bugs but also was able to escape an explosion with that feat using the bugs chakra as a defense against the flames.

Plus he has large bug summoning that he can use to fly as well as seen in the same episode.

Shino also has recon feats since he can see through his bugs eyes as well as have scent tracing bugs as well as other sensor abilities.


The only problem he has as a weakness against Gaara is combat defense and bug limitation

compared to Gaara's abundance of sand (he even crushes rocks and turns it into sand) which he can also use to defend himself.

Shino's bugs although more valuable can't be produced as efficiently and even have to be raised therefore they aren't a large quantity of them.

Nice breakdown of the two and wasnt that the arc where the Nue was possessing different people? I didnt get a chance to watch the one with Shino

It may be possible but they get crushed as well.

Utility wise, I honestly think Shino takes this. His bugs can be used for so much more. And this coming from a Gaara fan. Look at what Danzo’s henchman Torune did with the bugs. Shino’s major drawback is his chakra reserves.

Had he had as much chakra as Gaara this would be one hell of a match.

I agree if he had as much chakra as Gaara he would be able to have more bugs at his command
