How Far Does Jiraiya Go?

Who’s the highest tiered person jiraiya could beat? Sm and all. I would put this in versus but it’s not a match up type deal, more a discussion on who the highest tiered person jiraiya could beat.

Hmmm...I think he's around War Arc Kakashi and Guy's level. And the Five Kage.

So he could arguably beat any one them. Not 8th Gate Guy though of course.

IDK, but like Itachi said, if he would have fought against them, they both would have suffered fatal injuries. I mean he took down three of Nagato's Six Paths. Anyway, I think he takes the Third Hokage.

Hmm i don’t know if I’d put him that high, he has variety, but so does kakashi, and he doesn’t come close to either in speed, plus if you count 7th gate and kamui I think they’re a bit above

if you don't have sage of six path power : sumon immortal beasts and absorb chakra in any form .then you will have alot of trouble with Jiraiya and his sumoning beast .

He could fare pretty well against Mu in all honesty. But that's a rare bad match-up for Muu.

I rank Jiraiya much higher than most do because Fukasaku and Shima are insanely strong too in their own right. The likes of Gamaken and Gamabunta are normal strong summons, but they are like summoning 2 extra support Sannin to the damn field.

They're quite capable of defending themselves if the databook is anything to go by. They got similar hype to the likes of Itachi and Pain. God knows why Deva Path was able to one-shot a tired Fukasaku.

If they stay on his shoulders like they're meant to, (and do with Jiraiya-boy) then they're fine since Jiraiya is so agile and they have 3 sets of Sage Mode eyes.

Itachi admitted incapability to emerge victorious against him.

Kisame said he is on different league compared to him.Also he did make Itachi and Kisame to run from him.

Ibuse said he as one of the sannins could defeat Orochimaru.

But in reality I dont think he is that strong at least his feats are inferior to those mentioned above

That's low-balling, fam. J-Man has at least Bijuu level chakra reserves, Sage Mode, Gamabunta/Gamaken/Gamahiro, and Frog Song with Ma and Pa shuts down 99% of the NV. He goes above Kage level when Kage level opponents like Kisame and Pain dap him up as on their level and likely above. His intel and analysis skills are top notch as he was the only one to figure out Pain's secret. He's pound for pound maybe the most well rounded ninja in the entire series until Naruto and Sasuke became adults.

You underestimate Jiraiya. Fighting him isn't 1v1. It's 1v7 or something, when you bring in Ma, Pa, and the other toads. They all have minds of their own, so they could each share strategy and things they noticed about their opponent.

Yeah, Kakashi has a decent and complex arsenal, but SM Jiraiya's arsenal is complete with almost all components of shinobi combat. Thanks to Ma and Pa, he has access to like all of the five main elements, great physical strength, frog kumite, genjutsu, speed, etc.

Jiraiya's abilities are too great and too many to be done in solely by taijutsu from 7th Gate Guy. Jiraiya would have many counters and ways to avoid close combat.

As for the Five Kage, he could probably low diff Mei, and mid diff Tsunade, Gaara, and Ay. I don't know how he'd counter Onoki's flight and Jinton though. Maybe his sound genjutsu would reach Onoki in the sky, then bam.

Jiraiya has kinda haxxed SM with the toads constantly absorbing senjutsu chakra for him, plus the genjutsu doesn't take that much to cast and it's a beast. Since it's sound based, he could wipe, for instance, all 5 kages at once or any other large group of high tier shinobis if he survives long enough to be cast.

At the very lowest, he defeats the 5 kages, since he has a couple of AoE techs like the swamp thing, the genjutsu, and I think he also regarded his hair needels as a wide range attack as well. With some effort he could tackle an EMS Madara without kurama.

Maybe beat Akatsuki but not Nagato, Tobi and Itachi.
