Your theory about the identity of Tobi.

If Tobi wasn't Obito , who will be the character behind this orange mask ?


I have three candidate.

The first is a Zetsu clone of Madara. Madara would have done experiments on Hashirama's DNA , and he created a clone of him with Hashirama's cell. This clone would have the personality of Madara and the physical characteristics of Madara and Hashirama.

The second is Kagami Uchiha. This Uchiha was the most talentuous of his clan , one of the strongest shinobi of Konoha. But after Tobirama's policy against Uchiha , he become full of hate against the village and decide to assassinate Tobirama Senju to protect his clan. He wanted to become the new Hokage but the Fire Country lord chose Hiruzen as the Third Hokage. Kagami develop the Mangekyou Sharingan with a Special power of teleportation and read the stele. He leave the village and meet Madara in his hideout. He become Madara's student , but he betray him like Darth Sidious with Darth Plagueis in Star Wars and create the Akatsuki to accomplish the plan and become the new rikudo sennin.

The third is a random Uchiha with the same age than the three sannin and who would be fascinated by Madara like Kylo Ren with Darth Vader. He wanted become like Madara and follow his ideology even take his identity.

I thought he was Kagami cus when he removed half of his face, the scarred part, then it looked old so I thought he was the same age as Danzo.

Exactly , I thought also that he was Kagami because when he showed his face to Sasuke I thought that his scars were lines , and the only old powerful Uchiha who could potentially to be alive was Kagami Uchiha.

At least Kagami turned out to be Shisui's father. That's pretty cool and makes him a tad bit more relevant.

-And Izuna would look similar enough to Madara to pass for him in old age. As of now, it makes no sense that Kisame believed Obito was Madara after he was shown his true face behind the mask. Makes literally no sense. But if Itachi and Sasuke can look similar enough to confuse Naruto for a moment, then Izuna and Madara could look similar enough to fool someone as well.

Izuna was too old to be Tobi.

Izuna has 2~3 years of difference with Madara. If he was alive he would have over 100 years old , and i don't think that it would be possible that he is Tobi.

Eh. Immortality is pretty easy apparently, so that wasn't really a problem for me. Kakuzu had been alive that long, and really Madara would have only been in his 90s.

Plus there's the fact that we now know he was alive less than 15 years before the start of the series. So even at the time it wasn't so farfetched.

Far-fetched, but a lot more interesting than what Kishi gave us....which was a double fake-out reveal that just happened to turn into a likeable, deep character by chance.
