Yes kushin taught him. The basic clan jutsus. He made another seal derived from the uzumaki sealing jutsus kushina taught him. Hence the word "based". Its "based" on the uzumaki sealing jutsus, its not one of them.

That isnt viz translation. I'll check that up. Orochimaru could also be meaning about the jutsu's origins. Kushina did say dpr was "based" on uzumaki sealing jutsus. Not that it was literally uzumaki's jutsu.
