From a story standpoint it makes more sense for our older characters to fight the same way they did in the original series while the new characters try new or different tactics/ways of fighting

out of universe its because its a kids show and japan is the the opposite of america they'll show nudity in any show movie or cartoon but violence is frowned upon meanwhile in merica we do the exact opposite
