Amaterasu is really underrated

Suppose your opponent doesn't know about the technique and you are both staring each other down. You look right in his eyes and do Amaterasu setting his face on fire. How can you counter such an instantaneous attack unless you shed your skin or cut off your face?

Right ? Had to give Obito the JuubiJin's power and Madara an immortal body that can use Preta, their plot shield is proof enough of how broken Enton would've been with EMS.

Raikage only dodged it because he saw it coming.

Obito only blocked it because he knew exactly what it was and sensed it coming.

Nagato saw it coming and still couldn't stop it. His body was destroyed before he could get it off with Shinra tensei.

The jutsu was never "nerfed", it was constantly 100% useless because it is a 100% win guarantee if it hits, and it is so easy to land, so every opponent sasuke faced ended up having full knowledge of it and EXACT PERFECT TECHNIQUES TO COUNTER.

Its like if naruto learned rasenshuriken and all his enemies could absorb it or beat it with extreme fire style or some shit. Its silly. On top of this, naruto was able to maintain the ability to hurt Juubi wins with his moves because of "Nature energy:, which makes sense and all... but they just never restricted him by giving him perfect counters for opponents that stop his moves from working "just because".

Also! something that irritates me! Juubi jins had to be hit with nature energy to be hurt right? how come naruto chose his strongest techniques to fight, but after Sasuke gets the SO6P chakra, he goes for ****ING CHIDORI??????

Good thread bro, i almost lost hope of seeing any good quality threads but i guess there is one. Amaterasu is nerfed as hell, it was stated to be the "most powerful physical attack" by zetsu which immediately puts it in top 5 attacks even if the statement was hyperbole as some people like to say.

Yeah but did you notice when Itachi used Ama on Nagato he didn't absorb it but shinra tensei'd it. There's a possibility it can't be absorbed by preta path.

Also when Naruto countered it with kurama chakra that was BS since Naruto wasn't in sage mode and isn't a natural sensor to know that Ama was being used. Another plot shield for Naruto.

I agree with you, if Madara could fully absorb Amaterasu he wouldn't have needed to remove his armor, even Kaguya used a phasing technique instead of Preta.

Amaterasu cannot be absorbed, it's a physical attack unless you wanna say rinnegan can absorb knives and stones.
