Ughh yes it does naruto did that shit on his own... the reason why yamato was thier was to make sure the 9ts didnt take over narutos weak/ depleted body. Plus kurama is part of narutos arsenal so its a feat in its self being able to control the embodiment of evil chakra, as well as he did before the cooperation.
