Maybe in a similar way that Tobirama died.

I have a problem with the way Tobirama died also, He bested Izuna Uchiha, whom rivalled Madara, and yet Tobirama was defeated by a group led by ginkaku and kinkaku? The same Ginkaku and Kinkaku that got solo'd by Darui?

Darui had inside information and godly weapons on his side. Tobirama fought a group of high ranking jonin led by the gold silver brothers who were dead serious on killing him and knew that to underestimate him. They played around with Darui thinking they are above him and fell because of their arrogance. In addition, most of the reanimated were brought back weaker than they were living, so that also played a part in it.
