Why does Kisame look like a shark?

So, why does Kisame look like a shark? The blue skin, blue hair, the shark teeth, the gills... WHAT IS WRONG WITH HIM!? xd

Why is he like that? Mutation? Plastic surgery? Dad-made-love-to-a-great-white? What's your theory?

and perhaps he is an experiment of orochimaru

the trurth is kishi wanted all akutsuki mmbers to look like inhuman freaks and he is a prime example.

well kishimoto original akatsuki were supposed to be actual monsters* instead of people, i guess kisame / zetsu / sasori went through the least amount of revision before he introduced them

actually...none of you are right or even remotely close. Kisame was actually born with a very rare form of Down Syndrome lol
