You're right. Yamato uses the handicap of hashi's mokuton, as he cannot create trees , just the wood part with no life. Hashi induces life into his wood and makes trees. So yeah enton is useful against hashi's wood elemental power because it is a spiritual jutsu coming from the spiritual world of the mangekyou sharingan as you know MS has two parts , physical and spiritual. Amaterasu is physical attack , while kagutsuchi is spiritualization of physical attack . This is the reason why amaterasu was useless in kaguya dimension, but kagutsuchi was useful than gudodama.

What? Chakra and Nature Energy are completely different. That alone is a major difference. Then we have the fact that Mokuton isn't an inorganic object that was brought to life by NE. It is an organic substance that is grown using chakra.

Amaterasu and enton are different. Zetsu called amaterasu a physical attack but karin called enton an intangibke flame, which infers when manipulated with his other eye, the flames loses physicality and becomes capable of mowing down life.

Would have to be non solid pure element for enton to eat through it quick enough. But it's shape form could probably chop through some of the basic wood techniques thou in that case you're better off with chidori or kirin.

Ok, I have proof that Mokuton can burn with regular Katon. Please tell me which proof do you have that Hashirama's Mokuton is fireproof or at least tanked a Katon technique without burning.
