I was diagnosed with something called Schizoid Personality Disorder by my psychiatrist. I doubt there are any people who are like this here, but for anyone who has personality disorder/mental health issues share your story.
it seems ironic for a schizoid to be depressed, but i have been so i can relate a bit. it's admirable that you work hard to improveI have had a lot of issues with depression, both due to genetics and life experiences. I have allowed it to hold me back in many ways. It's something I work to improve upon every day. I also suspect I could be somewhat bipolar but that is just a small symptom that comes with depression and not the full on disorder.
What's the point on dwelling.it seems ironic for a schizoid to be depressed, but i have been so i can relate a bit. it's admirable that you work hard to improve
Everything you say is true, except the "leave it behind" mentality. What's the point on dwelling.
Okay, you think you have a problem...well, overcome it. Don't use it as some kind of clutch to try and draw attention to yourself...don't be a victim to a personality disorder. It's pointless...cause, at some point, you're gonna have to be an adult and come to terms that this world makes no excuses for anyone. No special treatment, no excuses.
You leave things like that behind, not dwell on it. This diagnosis is just to keep you walking in circles with your own personal growth/mental development. You seek attention. Identifying with a personality disorder is so obsolete. It's in your best interest, to overcome it.It's a TRAP, it's a clutch, it keeps you in a victim mentality, which won't allow you to evolve from it.
It sounds like you want to DROWN and dwell on this issue, and gather somewhat of a "pity party"...it's a tool.
I've said this before...that's called control, interference, too much emotional support, and co-dependency...and on top of that, entirely too much "treating you like a child". It makes you, as an individual INCAPABLE, handy capped, self-entitled. MOST people deal with depression, how you handle it, has everything to do with how mentally developed you are. "professionals" are so obsolete, these days. The incapable ones, are the one's who need help. And the fact that you devalue the wisdom and NATURAL intelligence of humanity by discrediting them with the ever-so, self-entitled statement "seek a professional" , the typical trapped in the matrix, regurgitated, globe trotting response of every person that hasn't a clue as to what they really need. It's assumption-based that it can help you. You become over-reliant on intervention, you end up needing it to sustain yourself...it's like a drug, it's like compromise. It doesn't provide you with the foundation you need to be able to make it on your own. Everyone needs acknowledgement, but there needs to be a boundary SET...you need to follow you're own advice...cause a lot of what we think is "Right"...is really obsolete and limited. It's not long-lasting. Professionals mostly give you EXCUSES, follow protocol, jump to conclusions, and don't really care about your situation. It's just a bunch of hyper-control, and treating patients like ROYAL SUBJECTS or live cattle. It's an insult.Everything you say is true, except the "leave it behind" mentality.
In some rare cases, chronic depression effects you as a chemical imbalance in the brain. this is not fully understood, but it has been shown that some people struggle much more with dark thoughts independent of their will.
Should they work to move on? yes. Should they act as if this makes things impossible for them? of course not. But invalidating someones struggles isnt the right advice. They don't choose to feel how they do, and they need positivity to get out of that. sure making sure they don't wallow in it and use it as a crutch is important (cause this generation has made a seriously bad habit out of doing just that, and thining that it is ok to be depressed, and incurable, and that it is not their responsibility to fix it and that they aren't responsible for their actions just cause they have a disorder), but it is much more important to tell them to just get the help they need.
Talk to a professional, not the kids on naruto base. Depression is serious, but you CAN move on with the right help.
k i think you're being a bit presumptuous. im not seeking attention and i dont want a pity party lol, i just made this because it's important to me.What's the point on dwelling.

Consider yourself defective. Sorry to say.k i think you're being a bit presumptuous. im not seeking attention and i dont want a pity party lol, i just made this because it's important to me.
im not dwelling on it. by overcoming it and moving on from it do you mean erasing my schizoid self and having a normal emotional life? if that's what you mean then no, that's not actually possible. there are ways to improve function in daily life though which is what im trying to do with my therapist, but there is no actual cure.
No you are just presumptuous in general. I’ve seen many of your posts throughout the base. Your advice is always to “suck it up”Consider yourself defective. Sorry to say.
This world is all about the survival of the fittest. You don't cut it, you just don't cut it.
Everything I've said, still stands. You cannot be an adult, and live your life hyper controlled and overly dependent for the rest of your life.It ruins the experience, you don't think for yourself. You're attached to an umbilical cord. It's absurd once you get to the nooks and crannies of the situation.
Living life, hyper controlled, seeing through someone elses perspective. Following someone else's guidelines.
But if you are incapable, you simply are incapable.
Edit: Also, there was no presumption. It was an analysis...you just didn't like my analysis.
Agreed, not everyone is strong. Exactly. Life is for the fittest. And those who are unfit, simply seek an abundance of outside help. It's common. So many unfit, undeserving people, in the world. And no, you, along with many others, are just in denial, as usual. What I say is always exactly the issue. No you are just presumptuous in general. I’ve seen many of your posts throughout the base. Your advice is always to “suck it up”
That type of advice doesn’t work for everyone. Not everyone has such a strong will and support from family and peers can be very important especially when dealing with depression or any mental disorder.
Well you need to stop reading, and get you some exposure, because these jobs are threatened by people who know too much. You know I read that intelligence leads to more jobs and by that success in life than social skills does so don't let it beat you up.
yeah I had a psych eval before I even considered myself this. I always knew I had these traits I just never realized it was a disorder until recentlyBe sure before you really consider yourself as someone with Schizoid Personality Disorder because it could be that you just have Schizoid traits .
Never heard of that. That is just made up.That is assumed, absolutely assumed.Right, life is for the fittest, but that does not mean that people who lack in certain areas should be doomed to failure and misery, not if the strong or intelligent can help it. Depression gets in the way of some peoples strengths, so we should provide answers to those people so they can be cured or at least feel better, and be able to use their valuable strengths. Everyone has potential, but everyone has a different battle.
If this world only consisted of the "fittest", we would not have enough people to get the average jobs done, and we would never make progress. each and every rung on the ladder is important.
Regardless of any of that, they are still people, and there is nothing wrong with helping others out, so long as we don't let them use it as a crutch. These people here just wanting to talk about their issues are not looking to do that, they just want to talk.
