Is Byakugou seal really Uzumaki clan jutsu

The seal I believe is Uzumaki. Tsunade took it and used it for her techniques she invented so she could have enough chakra to use them...

It would be a nice touch to see Tsunade used something of her grandmother to achieve something her grandfather used. Kishi kept everything involving Hashirama, Mito, and Tsunade and her parents very vague. Probably due to time constraints.

I am not sure why the slugs have a connection to the seal. I don't know if they just have the ability to feed off of their summoners chakra ro person techniques or if the seal is somehow a part of having a contract.

Maybe Mito had slugs. Who knows \o/ she definitely did not have Tsunade's healing techniques though.

I thought tsuande got her healing and cell regeneration from hashirama as he had similar abilities

But from the reader's perspective, the Akatsuki existed first and has existed for nearly a decade. Anything that is introduced now, regardless of its place in series timeline, will inevitably be compared to characters/events that "preceded" it.
