That’s exactly what’s I’m thinking, he had a regeneration technique and the amount of battles he’s fought all those assassination attempts, village threats and Madara his lifespan was probably shortened considerably.Age? Hacklimit?

Who was Hiruzen's son or daughter/Asuma's brother or sister/Konohamaru's father or mother?
What was Sakumo Hatake's abilities?
Those are merely three of the many questions left unanswered. Too many characters for Kishi to have been able to give us all the details of 'em.
