Why Kaguya fight was terrible and written poorly

Here are the reasons Kaguya fight made no sense.


1) Kaguya didn't attack Sakura, Obito or Kakashi

If Kaguya's goal was to absorb all chakra that she was obsessing over. Why not take the chakra of Sakura, Kakashi and Obito? This would have ultimately allowed her the chance to beat both Naruto and Sasuke WITHOUT even fighting them

2) Kaguya's Dimension shifting mechanics.

If Kaguya is capable of seperating both Naruto and Sasuke at will with Dimension shifting. Why didn't she just simply teleport to a different dimension WITH them. Then travel back to the Shinobi world dimension without them. They would have been stuck forever or atleast by the time they figure out how to get back she would have the fruit.

3) Kaguya's Emotional state

While I understand Kaguya was limited due to her emotional state of fighting her transmigrant children's chakra. Why didn't kishi write it out as her struggling with it THEN overcoming it and fighting. Why did she fight them / toy with them then every time the right moment comes to finish them she gets emotional. If anything it would have made more sense for her to focus on separating them rather than the bs we saw.

4) RinneSharingan/Byakagan

Kaguya literally has all 3 Dojutsu powers at her disposal that allows her to visually see all forms of chakra AND identify chakra. How tf did she not see Sakura's Byakago or Obito's six path chakra? This kinda goes back to my first point but I seperated them as they are both key points. While people will say "KAguya didn't see them as a threat" I find that to be a BS excuse especially since she was obsessed with chakra itself not the capabilities of shinobi



I know its plot but you have to agree the fight was down right terrible.

Yea Madara was better, I thought of her as a force of nature, like a monster incarnate, but it came pretty suddenly, they only mentioned her name like some chapters before she appeared.

There has been no character more nerfed than Kaguya in any form of media. Like, the power gap is unbelievable between her and her opponents.The amount of one-shot options available to her were all ignored.

The entire Kaguya arc was completely unnecessary, retconned and utterly boring imo. Should've just ended it with Madara, or maybe even Bobito. After that point, the power scaling went to ludicrous extents, and now they have to nerf everything in the sequel. Autшstic, if you ask me. Kaguya would make an awesome final villain for Buritto manga now that the focus is on Hyugas rather than Uchihas, and could've received proper backstory and development now, but oh well.

This is so true. The entire fight was ass. She was introduced waaaay to late to bring anything compelling to the end of the manga.

I completely agree with you. She should have probably been introduced in the Boruto movie and set up to be his final villain.

Naruto’s and Sasuke’s final villain should have been JJ Maddy.

I wonder how much pull he had in actually being able to do that though. From what I’ve read Shonen is pretty stringent about what they allow as far as character tropes and story direction.

Kishi May have very well intended to have Sasuke and Naruto die in their fight at VOTE but I can see Shonen saying no and having him right the happy ending so they can continue the cash grab with Boruto

I’m in agreement here, I don’t think kaguya and the ootsutsuki where nearly as planned out for the end game of ship as it seems, and more made up to connect to boruto and continue the story

I think Kishi planned to have a villain like Kaguya at the end and it spand out more in Boruto, he just didn't weave it into the story alot but the endgame of Obitos Akatsuki was the moons eye plan and in japanese folklore Kaguya is from the moon, the last boss before Naruto got the Sasuke in part 1 had the same bone jutsu and was from the Kaguya clan.
It just feels like it came out of nowhere cus that's how it was written, that doesn't mean Kishi just came up with it at the end of the series and planned the ending to be something else.

There is a logical reason bruh. She didnt have any defense against kamui raikiri. As simple as that. His base speed with raikiri in his hand amplifying his movements, are faster than lightning. Rikudou chakra further amplifying his movements mixed with kamui raikiri led to her defeat.

Obito was carrying Riku/Sage chakra + Kamui. Even if she saw them as fodder she should have atleast ATTEMPED to absorb him.

Seperating them in a different dimension isn't bland as she could simply harvest the chakra fruit. Become even more powerful then simply rag doll them both

Inconsistent

Hagoromo stated she had the powers of each dojutsu and she canonically saw the chakra of both Naruto and Sasuke resembling her children. In Madara's case they were literally no threat but in Kaguya's situation you have to remember this is someone that was obsessed with chakra.
