So it is clear that recently Byakugan is getting more relevancy and development. I call it " Byakugan era ".After being ignored Byakugan finally got some more time to show his true potential.Lets look at examples :

1. Naruto the last movie. Entire movie is about Byakugan and we finally saw evolution of Byakugan into new dojutsu Tenseigan.

2. Itachi shinden. We read about Byakugan user Mukai Kohinata prodigy who was able to fight and almost kill MS Shisui and Itachi 2 genius from Uchiha clan.

3. Boruto one shot manga. Short story where Himawari awakens Byakugan and one shots Naruto.

4. Boruto movie - manga.We have new villains who have power of Byakugan.

5. Boruto's Jougan . Another form of development for Byakugan.

6. Otsutsukis. We learn about Otsutsuki clan on the Moon and Otsutsuki's in another dimensions.Their dojutsu is Byakugan too just with Hyugas.

7. Ao . Return of another Byakugan user who was supposed to be dead.

So we already saw Tenseigan and Jougan as new dojutsus related to Byakugan. Also we got confirmation about some form of Byakugan precognition ability and ability to read others people fate.

Is it time for new era ??? Era of Byakugan greatness ???

Actually it all started when Kaguya introduced including with her byakugan.. following by the otsutsuki.. i know big shits about this eye is gonna happen ever since.

This is why Uchiha fans shouldn't be mad, we've seen the Mangekyo's full potential, it can't go any higher than Sasuke and Kaguya. Now it's the Byakugan's turn to get that development, it will ultimately prove Hyuga wielding the same potential and Senju and Uchiha, an idea Kishi introduced in part 1.

Ao basically confirms we're getting Byakugan action. That, and Hinata, Himawari, Hanabi, and all the other Ootsutsukis that will no doubt be wielding the Byakugan. It's gonna be a craze.

What I mean is individually they are probably.no match for shinobi

Maybe so, but they are blind, so that's natural. In any case, there puppets are pretty powerful in and of themselves, considering they were able to dodge attacks from a Six Paths-powered Naruto.
