Same class as Kagura. I dont imagine people rush kids through the academy anymore regardless of talent because that was mostly done during wars. He's also pretty young.

Not like anyone is not going to talk about it since the anime hold more significance to the canon storyline than Naruto ever was. Boruto anime left huge impact in Naruto community so calling it filler is almost non-existent at this point.
