3 tails Mizukage vs Hidan

Curse jutsu is all ranges my man. Don't mean anything with Jin healing. Mizukage gets cursed and his chakra core gets destroyed when Hidan stabs the heart. Water does not wash away dried blood my man.

He's still got to get in there to get blood period, assuming he lasts that long. Hidans arbitrary way of fighting(because of his so far sole jutsu) is his downfall, hidan needs to get close, yagura doesn't, and that's not even taking into consideration yaguras jinc transformation. If your going by anime too(like you said) it took 2 akatuski to beat him, one of them died, and the other was itachi, what makes you think hidan alone has a shot in hell?

I wouldn't consider that a long range attack, and that's literally what hidan would be doing, swinging around his scythe trying to get blood, and how is he supposed to get into his circle, you think someone like yagura is just gonna watch this dude smear blood into some demonic shape on the ground while he just stands there? Come on now, we're talking a vs match here not a plot fight. Plus... you know... if yagura happens to know the simple hidden mist jutsu(which lets be honest, he's the f cking misukage) hidans kinda sh t outta luck

The ritual is a joke, and only an idiot or someone already incapacitated would let that fool even draw his circle, let alone enter it.

Yagura wins. He's as ever capable as Bee is because he's a perfect jinchuuriki. He has that one loss feat because the guy he got killed by was virtually unbeatable but none the less the jinchuuriki is powerful.

He has a mirror that can replicate Hidan's jutsu with equal strength (though it doesn't last long) that helps with intel.
His ninjutsu-taijutsu variant is Coral palm so he can restrict Hidan's movements with that biju kekkai genkai (i think).
And his long biju powers would beat him, such as a biju bomb which is mountain busting level.

Out of all the bijus I feel like the three tails and the 7 tails are the worse match up for Hidan specifically because needs blood from his opponents which requires piercing their bodies.
