I don't think Tobirama harbored hate for the Uchiha though..

I don't think that he could be racist against the Uchiha clan since basically all the people in the Naruto world have the same race. The only exceptions are the black ninja in Kumo.

If you mean whether he was prejudiced against them then I would say: perhaps.

Tobirama didn't possess Hashirama's idealism and optimism. He was more likely a realist. The Uchiha clan was an enemy of the Senju clan for a long time and this hard feelings wouldn't just disappear. This is true for both sides.

I think that Tobirama cared very much about the safety and security of his clan and village. He wasn't thinking in way "Uchiha clan is a potential security threat because Uchiha are power hungry, evil etc." but more like in a way "those who are power hungry, evil etc. - e.g. the Uchiha clan - are a potential security threat."

Basically the problem wasn't Tobirama's prejudice but Uchiha being a potential security threat.

And the truth of the matter is that the Uchiha were power-hungry. Since the Senju clan basically disintegrated/died out the Uchiha were the largest and most powerful of all clans in Kohona. They were even responsible for the village's internal security by managing the police force.

But the main point is that Tobirama wasn't prejudiced specifically toward the Uchiha clan. Tobirama was a realist and a mistrusting man by nature who didn't have Hashirama's idealist and endless optimism to overlook the flaws of that clan. Despite the fact that the regarded them as a potential security threat he gave them control over the internal security of the village. And that's a big deal.

Or in other words, Tobirama was simply shook.

He didn't hate any of them, he simply took precautions to prevent another madara. Since by far madara was the greatest terror he ever met.

he fought against these guys everyday for years in a war and survived.

hes not scared of them. stop with this.

he reasonably and maturely expressed concern about Madara for good reason.

The thing is tho they weren't power hungry during his time they even shafted Madara because they finally had peace Tobirama due to being scared of Madara put them under surveillance because he was so scared that another would rise.

No he didn't. Tobirama was right all along. The problem weren't his beliefs, but rather the extremist way he chose to implement them. Hell, the guy knew the Uchiha better than anyone other than Black Zetsu himself.

Lets put it in perspective:

Tobirama sees this:

Still says he aint madara Level.

He makes it clear that he's fought and seen many a MS user(even killed 1 on record):

You must be registered for see images

Yet still in his mind its only a problem when it becomes like madara.

His obsession with madara even made Orochimaru of all people call him out:

And even then he makes it clear. It's only madara.

Cuz lets be real if the 5 kage combined couldnt stop this:

Whats tobirama on his lonesome gonna do.

is it illogical to fear transmigrants? Do you see how broken they are compared to literally every other ninja. And even then compared to other transmigrants madara was still on broken tier.

Thats why I said he was shook at the thought that they had the potential of the Uchiha returning to that type of motivation and the fact that only a handful of Uchiha transcended their clan didn't help Tobiramas reservations.

I'm not talking about transmigrants, thats an entirely different topic with a different perspective. Not every clan member of the Uchiha is Indra's transmigrant but they are his defendants and it's not fear, it's called precaution.

Exactly, but tobirama doesn't know jack shit about transmigrants so when he seen madara the greatest trans migrant (let alone uchiha) to ever live naturally he'd take precautions under the assumption that with enough hate any uchiha could reach madara lvl.

As readers we know that isnt true but its not like tobirama had the luxury of speaking to hagoromo when he was alive. So he wouldn't know.

Your right, it wasn't an outright hate but more of a fear of what they could become from experience

He was scared though, Had he ran into sharingan warriors like Itachi and Shisui, who can body you in any form of battle... He'd have gone mad. Genjutsu gg, Taijutsu gg, Ninjutus (Try all the jutsu you wish, but, my eyes see them all)

And his actions were the catalyst for bringing another Madara (Sasuke):lol
