he did cast IT but was nerfed for some plot reasons just like his fight with hashirama

There were things can be said about that fight but put Sasuke in that situation and somehow I see Sasuke stabbing Zetsu to death instead of the other way around. Sasuke seemed to be a better villain without actually being the real villain.
