Naruto decided to become Hokage in order to gain the respect of the Villagers, and to be acknowledged by them. Sarada, who was struggling to understand bonds and had no real connection to the Village, decided to become Hokage by seeing such said connection between Hokage and Villager.
If you think about it, Sarada's path to Hokage has a direct correlation to what Naruto has been through, hence the flash back scene when they talk. It all connects .
----
Sasuke after learning the truth about the Uchiha Massacre, and talking with the past Hokage, decided that there was one path and one path only. The path of ruling and changing the shinobi system from the inside out. Based on the narrative, Sasuke believed that Itachi's way was the path of the Hokage, but the narrative told us that Sasuke's perception was wrong hence why Naruto had to changed him.
If you think about it, Boruto's path to being the Hokage's shadow has a direct correlation to Sasuke's understanding of what the Hokage means to him now, because like Sasuke, Boruto had a flawed perception of what the Hokage stood for. Much bigger than this, he also had a flawed perception of who Naruto was, like Sasuke. The narrative telling us that Boruto was a brat who didn't know anything about his dad or his struggles, which is almost a blind narrative to most of Naruto/Sasuke's relationship as they had to grow from not understanding each other, to understanding each other.
Was this done on purpose, or is this just a coincidence?
