so easy to avoid amatersu if you have rikage speed, garras sand defense(or something similar ), jin bijuu cloak, or even an MS/EMS to just put it out your self. amatersu is only good for scrubs below kage lvl just stick to enton stlye save yourself some chakra . unless you infuse it with a chidoir or with lighting style moves with high speed not allowing anyone to counter. and flame control is nice too but still slow.

Not true, Sasuke just didn't posses the mental capacity to try to use it to its potential. after he calmed down (war arc) Naruto is and will forever be the only one to survive Amaterasu.

Technically speaking, Amaterasu is supposed to be OP regardless if you use it "creatively". We were directly told that the black flames of Amaterasu will never extinguish until they have incinerated whatever it was cast on/touched.

It's supposed to be,but then again that shit was supposed to also be as hot as the sun. Did you see any feat that supported that? Think about it. If we were to use the logic that amteratsu's hype is based on then technically even the user's shouldn't be able to go anywhere near it,therefore making it usable.

In physic's if a piece of the sun were to fall on the earth than in order to not get incinerated you would need to be approximately 90 miles or further from that spot. See what i mean?

Ok, tell me which shinobi has the speed to counter EMS pre-cog ? It took JuubiJins for Amaterasu to be nerfed and that was when Sasuke didn't even have Sage chakra.


Now tell me which shinobi has the speed to counter Rikudou Sasuke's pre-cog ?


In fact tell me which shinobi can dodge enton chidori ? Especially now that Sasuke has S/t

It had to be nerfed when used against people, otherwise if the burning speed was same like when it's burning stuff then it would literally oneshots people as no one could ever react to it. Speaking of reacting, kishi also trolled it with so many ways to counter it, either remove burning part, absorb it, push it away or just kamui it away. Although as I said, if the burning speed was consistent, then people who got hit wouldn't even have time to do any counter.

I think it has to do with intention too, the intention of Amaterasu was never meant to attack Karin. but then again, it was plot, because it burned Nagato pretty badly. Sasuke is much more powerful now.
