Boruto is even in that promo considering how little important he was in that arc :lol

The author really must love him then in how he would turn out to be in the future I guess lol he really much be that special. But I do admit he will be a super interesting MC, I think the author was trying to get people to hate him on purpose IMO

Honestly Boruto is probably the character I find most compelling of the bunch because he feels the most human. What I hate about this naruto fandom is that they self-insert characters they can relate with especially when it pertain with orphans experiencing war and trauma and yet Kishi has done so many times by resort to pathetically unrealistic and overdramatic backstories where somehow the praise and fanboyism that followed were based purely on raw emotion and lacked logical support. The fanbase couldn't be reasoned with when the writing was far from perfect. I am so tired of dealing alot of orphan characters as some ploy to get people emotionally attached rather than the actual character writing.

Naruto as a former protagonist lost his charm he once had. He went from being failure in his early childhood to being messiah who gets everything handed to him. The problem is obvious, Naruto had this righteous ideology where he corrects everyone mistake and he ended up magically overcoming every obstacles in his path. Unlike Boruto, Naruto never truly change as a character because he always stick his nindo way believing he can change everything. Ever since he began his ninja carrier, Naruto never lost a single fight except when it comes to Sasuke and even then he ended up achieving in the long run.

Ppl love Naruto as MC more than boruto because they can sympathize/emphasize with which allow their emotion clouded their judgment while ignoring the problem that Naruto is a flawless character who ended up achieving everything as a savior when we are so accustomed to his accomplishment that it didn't hold much weight.

Boruto will start where Naruto ended off and they're obviously setting him up to have dynamic character growth throughout the series as it gets darker which is better to see his actual struggles in his journey rather than they try to shove down to our face with oversaturated flashback to remind us that Naruto was "Once a Failure"

Unlike Naruto, Boruto is not perfect being and he is all about learning to grow up from his mistakes. While living in a perfect lifestyle, we get to see his actual daily life struggles which makes him more complex and that seperates from all these clitches apart of everything we've seen in this series. Boruto was rather overwhelmed by everyone expectation to be "great as his father" and boruto doesn't like to be put into high pedestal where not even his father understand his perspective because of how disconnected he is with his family.

Boruto is SUPPOSED to be an immature brat. His character arc will include growing up and understanding Naruto's perspectives and the dilemmas he faced and accepting them. Boruto has to start flawed into order to grow. Being a flawed character suits him more to have internal issues rather than just being a cool ninja fighting more powerful enemies, which are all external problems.

I'm disappointed Boruto should've been holding Sasuke's coat tails.
