And like i said neither of them was said to have awakened Sharingan during that war. Not even Fugaku.
During the Third Shinobi World War, a dear friend of Fugaku died in battle causing him to unlock the mangekyou sharingan. At the end of the Third Shinobi World War, Shisui witnessed his best friend die, also awakening the Mangekyō Sharingan. It was stated directly in the anime for fugaku, and in the Itachi Shinden novel for Shisui.

Notice neither of which are canon. And awakening Sharingan isn't the same as awakening MS. They had Sharingan way prior.

Itachi Shinden is canon since it is source material that kishimoto helped illustrate. Fugaku's Mangekyou sharingan was not in the manga, but I believe that in rare cases like the kaguya arc where the anime fills in gaps in the story highly relevant to the plot, it is essentially canon material.

In trying to argue that a uchiha can become exceptionally powerful without severe trauma, you're attempting to debunk my argument as being non-canon, but that argument isn't very convincing. Are you suggesting that the history depicted in the novel and in the anime are completely false despite there being nothing that contradicts it in the manga? Since the Manga left out that portion of history entirely, it only makes sense that if the anime elaborates and explains that history it would be considered canon.
