Sakura Haruno is one of the lead characters of the series and the sole lead female protagonist. Despite that, her background is severely lacking due to Kishimoto negligence.

Sakura parents were never canon and were created towards the end of the series for a abridged movie.

Sarada seems to know shizune more than her grandparents and has little To no knowledge of her father's family (understandable as they are no longer living).

Where as Hinata, a side character in the series has a fleshed out family tree. We know of her family and the lives of the Hyuga. Several scenes of them doing such things as having tea and training. The relationships between them and their interactions.

Both Himawari and Boruto acknowledge Minato, Neji, Hanabi and Hiashi's existence.

It doesn't stop with just Hinata. Temari, and Ino also have a better fleshed out family tree.

We know of Temari. Shikadai uncle is Gaara and Kankuro. His grandfathers were previous kage and a strategist in the ninja war. He has at least 3 cousins whom we know the names of.

I think they writers just realized sakuras not a good character so the less we see of her the better
It really ends up hurting Sarada unless they finally get around to showing them or her finding out about the Uchiha family.

It's like her parents didn't give a shit when she destroyed her house and fainted.

It's more like she has insane parents that don't know what's normal
Yeah. From what was canon via Sakura. She finds her parents overbearing, which was why she found Naruto being a orphan liberating.

They obviously have no involvement with her development aside from giving birth to her and they were common villagers whereas everyone else's parents were established shinobi.

What family? Sakura probably left her parents due to them being "overbearing" and they probably had something to do with her insulting Naruto's lack of parents. She probably outgrew them or is estranged. Sasuke's side is wiped out. So all in all

The fact you have to speculate is a prime example of Sakura's shortcomings as a developed female lead.

She found them overbearing in her adolescence, she was 12 at the time. For her to literally be emancipated from her parents as you said is actually a big deal.

To lampshade something like that hurts her worse than if we just assumed her parents were a non-factor.

That's literally a storyline wasted, underplayed and made no reference to.

All we know is that Sakura was bullied, she was friends with Ino and she liked Sasuke. Temari has a more fleshed out background than Sakura and her chapters are slim to none.

A Side character shouldn't be more developed in background and writing than the female lead.

Hinata was a character Kishi created and brainstormed before Sasuke and Sakura. While Sasuke was needed as Kishi stated to significantly create the plot, Sakura was an editor recommended character to which Kishi admitted that he failed at creating, jumping from one idea to the other to try and increase her popularity.

That is what happens when you make a weekly series prone to changes with an added character you didn't want and really didn't create out of love or ambition or motivation.

Okay, but Sakura's is the most developed female ability, and growth wise. She was poorly-written and everyone knows that, this thread was obviously to cause wars.

Ability and growth-wise? That's not a credible response nor an excuse for the female lead of the series to be lacking in such a way. You're basically excusing Kishimoto for his failure to properly develop her.

You're also implying that her growth and power were properly developed as well. She had a aptitude for genjutsu, that ended up being a dead-end. Her strength and chakra control ended up making her a carbon copy of a blueprint (Tsunade).

She was literally changing in the sasori arc and showing progress and it all but halted until the war arc.

Her relationship with Sasuke Uchiha, one of the most toxic relationships in the series next to Naruto and Sasuke was admittedly shallow and contrived from the author's own words.

Why don't you just discuss this with maturity rather than apologizing and making excuses.

/thread

Kishimoto never created neither liked Sakura enough to work on it seriously, she's a hair unto the soup like we say in France.

At least I see why your always defending Hinata and Naruto.
You must be fanfic01's (Nick01's) alt.

I agree Hinata is a good waitress and cook she would make the best housewife and an excellent maid. Also Hinata's family structure is of a nuclear family making it more stable so naturally it would be better in that sense. Definitely superior to a single parent household it adds to a childs mental and emotional development, offers support structure and the works.

As for Sakura's parents they're not really relevant since Sarada's meant to represent the Uchiha clan and that would distract her from it. Even Sarada's character doesn't care and hasn't inquired about her parents.

It could also be that Sakura's parents are senju descendants and disprove of her chasing after Uchiha D and lead to conflict.

Really going on a tangent here. Directly addressing me rather than the topic. I don't expect a mature response from you to begin with seeing how you're a fan of sup-par writing from Fairy Tail and enjoy one-dimensional characters such as acnologia.

Anyone in the series would make a good waiter/waitress and cook. It's not a demanding job as teenagers are usually hired to write orders and bust tables. If you had experience with a job, which I doubt. You'd know this.

The housewife and excellent maid is your opinion as I don't believe that job is difficult either depending on if you're a housewife and maid.

If your mother was a housewife you could ask her; I'm not sure what benchmark you're using that qualifies as a excellent maid.

Being a Maid and Housewife can be difficult if children are involved and how demanding it is.

If you read the whole post I did address the topic I suggest you read it again.

As for me addressing you I was reciprocating in kind.

Ps. Hinata's serving skills are second to none as is her timing the two true skills of a good maid or housewife.

You edited it after posting. And your edit is nothing more than you talking about Sakura's lack of background and parents "isn't really relevant" or how her family could be senju.

Leading me to believe you didn't think out your response and attacked me and Hinata when she's not the only one who has a fleshed out background I.E Temari, Ino.

Nope I confirmed Hinata's family's structure is that of a nuclear family which is stable and adds more support to her and is overall better. It's good for her and the children.

If I'm confirming that I'm dismissing a single parent family which isn't as good(not blaming single parents). Then I offered some reasons why Sakura's family, parents grandparents may not be relevant.

Even though this is manga/anime nobody wakes up 1 day and decides I'm not going to talk to my parents etc. And since Naruto's heavily influenced by Japanese culture which is essentially family orientated, it makes no sense for the author to drop the family of a main character unless there's a reason for it.
