Has anyone else felt uneasy about this character in the Bible? Apparently he's Gods favorite, but when God creates humans and asks Lucifer to go down and serve mankind Lucifer says no, believing them to be inferior and undeserving of being served by Angels.

Then, Lucifer apparently decides he's better than God and wants to rule heaven. Isn't Lucifer supposed to be sinless, perfect, and insanely intelligent? Why would he of all angels think he could take God down? Well of course, he's the most powerful angel and would naturally be the most arrogant, but that sort of arrogance isn't what you'd expect from a creature who was created by God and got to see him on a daily basis.

Lucifer decides to do battle with God and his forces, knowing he'll lose and get's his ass kicked, taking down one third of the angels with him and decides to become this evil force bent on destroying humanity. So apparently Lucifer knows he's never going to beat God, but continues to do battle with God? Even a human would realize how vastly inferior they are to God and just give up any sort of fight but Lucifer continues.

Lucifer, despite all of the glory and greatness he's supposed to have in the Bible, seemingly loses any sort of rational, intelligence, sense of justice, sense of responsibility, and sense of respect. He's the perfect villain. Hell bent on destruction, corruption of mankind, and war with God despite being beyond pettiness. This dude is supposed to be immortal, you'd think that spending all that time on Earth being cast down would give him insight.

You'd think that all of those Angels who came down with Lucifer would have tried to show him that they made a mistake, hell, wouldn't they have said that from the beginning rather than fighting GOD himself? The entire story sounds far too convenient for me to just take at face value.

And to top it all off, Satan doesn't even get to have a trial, he's just going to be destroyed without any say in the matter. His personality and choices won't change for the sake of the prophecies coming true. If Lucifer really is real, he's got to be the most unlucky chap to walk this universe.

logically the Bible solo's itself in the first chapter. Adam and Eve literally had god in the garden and they still listened to a snake over what god said

imo i dont think any of the books people consider holy are meant to be taken literally. most are parables and symbolisms from the ones ive read

You don't know that.

I do since the bible is historically inaccurate, there is no shred of scientific evidence, there are a myriad of contradictions, and many similar stories from various earlier religions.

I can't actually verify the following but there's this interesting claim that the original bible scriptures were in hebrew>phoenician
and in it, it doesn't say ''god made us in his image'' but ''the gods made us in their image''. Elohim being a plural word for deity or god

anywho..meh

kind of. the original the Bible itself is a blend of the Torah and Pagan philosophy, those were the two central religions before the Bible was made in Rome, which blended both to make it an easier transition for people of the time to convert when Constantine became emperor

the Dead Sea Scrolls is the OG artifact and all holy texts are suppose to be derived from it and dilute it further, it is in Hebrew. im pretty sure it wouldnt say anything about multiple gods but ive yet to see it and cant read Hebrew so i cant say. but usually most holy texts are about awakening the part of god you have inside of yourself

Yeah, I'd love to Be able to actually verify (or debunk) the part about the god(s) but I don't Read Ancient hebrew nor do I know anyone who does.

At bold: Yeah, that's probably the case for every religion out there having been corrupted along the passage of the Time.
