Ehh. I wouldn't say that it doesn't touch on them. Kishi pretty much baited and trolled everyone when it came to the pairing wars.

That's true, but that would only be in small moments dispersed throughout the series. Usually those moments didn't even really drive the plot or have too much of an effect on the situation at hand.

For example, Minato stating that Sakura reminded him of Kushina or Naruto and Sakura's little moment when Naruto returned to Konoha from training with Jiraiya were both just momentary comic relief scenes.

As for Hinata, she didn't get much screen time at all.

The only really significant pairing moments in the manga were Hinata's confession during the Pain fight, Neji's death scene, and Sasuke's forehead poke on Sakura.

Sounds like you really hate pairings, but pairings don't cause any problems. It's fans who obsess over them or get mad about them that ruin the series for themselves. 99% of the time, the series itself doesn't even touch on the pairings.

True, pairings attracts a bunch of cancerous clowns to certain characters. Just look at how many sakura faps attach themselves to Sasuke and the Uchiha purely because he gave her the d like once. Which is why i prefer if Boruto stays away from this shit but of course thats not gonna happen.
