I totally agree it's kishi being kishi. As an artist I just don't feel like he did a great job at making Sarada not look like Sakura. Tbh she looks like a fusion of Sasuke and Sakura but most people are being thrown off by her glass which makes them think she looks like Karin. I honestly think if she didn't have glasses people probably would think she looks like her parents or like Sasuke.
