I think the Boruto series has a chance to be something great like Naruto. It captivated me with the Nue arc, bringing me back to those days where I used to watch it on Disney X D. (Even if it was watered down.) So do you think like with Dragon Ball Z that Boruto has the chance to surpass its predecessor? Bonus: Can you see it going to Disney X D? Another bonus: Why do people seem to dislike it so much? And if you dislike it, what makes you angry about the series?

Too much filler. Too much focus on 1 person and not the whole squad. Ish is to dragged out to get into it.

The writers for Boruto stated that Kishimoto was really into the supervision, so I think you can consider everything up to this point canon. Plus Denki, Iwabe, Shikadai, Inojin, and Metal Lee (and others) got their own episodes focused around them. The squad has some development. And you say dragged out? Dragged out is the uninteresting Dragon Ball Super episodes at the beginning of the anime. (Not the movie ones, the slice of life ones.)

Kishi is also supervising the manga and only said the manga is canon so far as far as i know. He also supervised RTN and that's filler.

Those filler episodes for those characters didn't develop them at all it was just so Boruto and his doujutsu get more shine and save the day. That's literally what those what 15 or something episode's was about.

DBS is way more interesting than Boruto and only arc in DBS that was dragged out was those "filler" before the TOP arc.

I have to disagree with you on the development issue. Off the top of my head Denki gained resolve, Shikadai gained humility, Iwabee developed his friendship with Denki. And yes, I do conclude that DBS is more interesting than Boruto. But at the point in Boruto's story, it still has time to find its footing with Ikemoto under the writer helm.

Only time will tell if it can live up to it's predecessor. It's too early to make that assessment. So far it's been good. I could see the anime going to Disney if it becomes as popular as Naruto or if the Naruto live action movie is made to hype it up.

Don't argue with him . He bashes every single boruto episode whether good or bad . And he thinks everything is filler . I mean the guy didn't even watch pass episode 3 . He told me that .

OT: Yes Boruto anime has the potential to be one of the best anime out there

I think it's cool excluding Sarada's high heels/portrayal in general.

I like what the manga is doing even though I still cringe at the art style. Not so much the anime at present. But that will probably get better as we get out of the academy and into their Genin/Chunin status.

I'm just pretty much done with seeing another mini Naruto and K12 in kid form again via the next gen. I would have liked a completely different protagonist and a different village to distance ourselves from what we spent 15 years reading once before. But that's just me. I know most of you eat this kind of stuff up so if you enjoy it good for you.

As for whether it will last? I just don't know. It's been going this long so far so they must have a decently substantial fan base to at least keep it afloat for now. So that's promising I guess.
