Adding Obito is just overkill.

The entire fighting style of the Hyuga is close range. Even if they put down Itachi, Obito will just pass through the lot of them and kill them all.

The plot wouldn't even work that way unless the Hyuga were going to join the Uchiha in the coup. Even then the Hyuga estate isnt in a closed off corner in konoha like that Uchiha estate is. Konoha would find out as it happens.

That is unless its swept under the rug that 2 of konoha's oldest clans suddenly died leaving no one but Itachi to blame.
