I love crazy pirate mama with her bandana and her sword. This is a completely different mama then we've seen the entire arc. Where she was cruel and calm before and people might've gotten the impression she was a bit of a pushover. She's proving her yonkou status now. Her arsenal is crazy, sword technique's with technique and strength of the giants, Zeus already showed what he could do, and now Prometheus came down on them like a nuclear bomb.

RIP King Baum I can't imagine him surviving that blaze as he was pretty much a dry piece of wood. It was cool that even a nobody like him got a bit development and a reason to live on.

I think next chapter Pound will show up, as he is supposed to be somewhere in the woods too and he has unresolved business with mama and Chiffon.

I wonder if Pudding is for real now since her third eye is out and she is crying. Her acting up till now was always with 2 eyes and her mischievous side came out when she revealed the 3rd one. I would like if she stayed evil and manipulative to be honest and just use Chiffon to save the country and still hate Sanji and the Strawhats.

Oda gave us a nice behind the scenes of the operation the rest of the BM family has in play to stop the Strawhats. Pretty impressive counter measures. Even if they get the crazy mom of their backs, they still will have to face a calm and collected family before they can escape. Good to see that Big Mom's intel department is making a bit of a comeback after failing so hard during the arc.

Great chapter couldve been better for a weeks wait tho. But still i loved it. Pudding is really in love with sanji which is hilarious. BM is awesome and i wonder is zeus going to be nami's power up? If so she is easily the 5th strongest behind luffy jinbei zoro and sanji easily.

There's too many plot conviencies for me. Zeus, Big Mom's own soul betraying her? King Baum coming back to life and disobeying orders when I believe it was stated that Homies couldn't defy her? Like what? Lmao.

It was an interesting chapter, though the part with Zeus felt like something from Fairytail.
I wonder what Oda has planned for the end of this arc, he's puting the SHs into more trouble, I can't help but feel their escape would be require a lot of PIS.

I have to admit, I liked the chapter, but it did feel slightly like an asspull that King Baum's feelings for his girlfriend overruled Mama's control.

I have no problem with the Zeus bit though, he's always been portrayed as a bit dim and technically, he hasn't disobeyed a direct order yet, like King Baum. I doubt he will stick with the SH's though, he's still made from Mama's soul after all, but he'll have a part to play in the escape I'm sure. It will be strange if he does ignore Mama completely though, if she gives him a direct order, he technically should listen.

Sooo Mama's attack with the Bicorne was called 'Spear of Elbaf'.. Wut? Is the sword from Elbaf, did I miss something?

nami is the mvp of this arc. But yea others are right this arc is a bit too convenient for the main characters , luffy and co should be captured by now

King Baum is doing what Nami says because of the Vivre Card with Mama's soul in it, not because of his feelings for the lady tree. The feelings for the lady tree motivates him to survive, and causes him to do his actions harder, but what's determining what actions he takes is the Vivre Card. Notice that Mama hasn't even attempted to give King Baum an order, and just attacked him from the get go, likely because she's in a frenzy right now.

As for Zeus, he's made from Mama's soul, so of course eating something is going to affect him like we saw it do. He's also been portrayed as rather dim, especially going by his facial expressions, so y'all are confused over nothing.

Apart from the fact that she did technically give him an order because she told the seducing woods to stop them. King Baum then says, and I quote, "even I can't resist the queen's orders" , before immediately thinking of his girlfriend and resisting the orders. Don't see how Mamas Vivre card is supposed to be stronger than direct orders from mama herself.

As I said, I don't have a problem with Zeus, because he hasn't received any direct orders... yet. And I also stated that he is dim, so wouldn't think about the consequences of helping them, or even what he's doing.

Finally, my question was "is Big Mom's sword from Elbaf, did I miss something" - because I was wondering if I hadn't read a panel in a previous chapter properly. Just because big moms life was changed drastically by Elbaf, it doesn't give me any indication as to where the sword came from, because as far as I knew, she was banished and never returned. So I was simply curious as to why the sword is named that. Perhaps she was given it at some point by a giant, but I'm curious as to who.

I feel like there will be some more backstory to come regarding Big Mom in the future.

I agree she's looked better these more recent chapters, angry BM is the best BM. I liked her evil aspect but this is a fighting moment I feel she needed. A curious thought came to me this chapter though; BM ate Mother Caramel then was able to use her soul soul fruit without having eaten the fruit(as known to us readers). Now this chapter she can use Giant attacks which we also know she ate. Now that could be explained simply by "she lived in Elbaf and could have picked it up there" but she had to leave at 5 or 6 so I doubt that. Maybe BM's body has an inherent ability to absorb/assimilate the skills or even strength of people she eats?

I'm impressed with Zeus and Prometheus, I didn't think they could get that big; Prometheus was huge and Nami said Zeus could cover most of the sky(which is probably hyperbole but still) and to be able to be small enough to wear like boxing gloves, I liked that aspect. Before they seemed like average tools at best but they're growing on me.

Maybe he'll be saved by Nami having Zeus absorb most of the hit?

The end said "those eyes are genuine" or something like that so it seems so. I wonder if she'd hold Sanji in such high regards for liking her eye if she knew how much he loved most women? I agree with you though I like her better being evil especially after all this time.

To the King Baum point I'm hoping Nami told Zeus to intercept the attack then if she can't keep him(which seems unlikely) it could be enough damage to take him out of the fight which would help them.

Curious why Oda would make someone with precog Ob Haki say "In case" should this be taken as a sign Katakuri expects them to get passed BM? Also it mirrors what Jinbei said a bit about Zeus's loyalty, does Katakuri really believe something could go wrong and BM not be able to stop them? Sounded like it. Based on that bit I expect SH's will escape from BM somehow and make it to the Sunny but the question is will that happen before Pudding gets there with a cake(if she's even actually coming)?

If Big mom is out of the equation with the cake it becomes Luffy Sanji Pedro Jimbe Chopper Brooke Nami and Carrot vs Katakuri. I really dont think Katakuri is going to win.

He definitely wouldn't, I feel it was implied Sanji would be able to contend if not beat him on his own plus we saw Jinbei can nullify his sticky-ness add those two to Luffy and Katakuri should have no real chance.
