Not on hearsay if you must know it's a sealing jutsu which has a cost of users life so no its not strong. It's beneficial in that it can seal away edo tensei and souls to prevent revival.

Didn't Hiruzen use it on Orochimaru, Edo Hashirama and Tobirama at the same time and they all were sealed inside the shinigami's belly.

Same goes for Minato's case. Minato was even able to separate Kurama into yin and yang part, though I am not sure if it was part of the shinigami jutsu or something entirely different. Still splitting Kurama into two sentient entities is close to Hago's splitting Juubi into bijuus. He must've had exremely good chakra control.
