He inherited the Sage's Yang Energy (Vitality), but needed hard-work and support from others to awaken its power at its fullest. Him not inheriting his father's powerful genes in context insinuated that Ashura wasn't naturally gifted and needed hard-work to be strong. This is explicitly why Ashura was compared to Naruto who needed hard-work to be strong in spite of his parents being prodigies.

As for the topic, I'm of the belief that Ashura inheriting the Sage's Yang Energy enables him to form his own Avatar with purely chakra alone in the same manner that Indra can. Ashura has the "Sage's Body" which gives him his own Avatar in the same way that Indra has the "Sage's Eyes" which enables him to manifest Susano'o.

The thing is there's two sides to Hagoromo's power because he was JuubiJin. Indra had Hagoromo's chakra because of his genes but his dojutsu came from the Juubi, in contrast Ashura had Hagoromo's body because of his genes but his chakra came from the Juubi.

Combining NE with the Juubi chakra that was dormant within him would be what awakened RSM, similar to how Naruto awakened BSM once he had full control over his bijuu chakra,

Not true the sage says Indra I herited his eyes. The sage confirmed Indra's sharingan is his(Hogaromo's) power and not the Jyubi's whereas with Ashura past awkenong bodily chakra (yang release ) he doesnt have anything to rival Indra's eyes or spiritual energy. RAM requires the chakra of the 9 tailed beasts which isn't a yang release feat and Hogaromo gifted it to him.

Seems like very convoluted conjecture to me. All that's stated is that Ashura inherited Yang Release whereas Indra inherited Yin Release as inferred by Obito and the Databook. Where did you come up with this theory?

Pretty easy actually Ashura awakened strong bodily chakra rivalling Indra's strong chakra gene. You know the thing he lacked. Then he had nothing to rival the eyes or spiritual energy and for that the sage confirms he gave Ashura power.
