How far can a byakugan user see each direction?

Depends on the user. Hinata can see 20KM while Neji can see 800M and Hiashi can see even more than both.

that is a good question, Hinata can see 20km away but if that is just via a straight line or a full on 360 of 20km with each radius is unknown

could be 360 since Neji in the Kidomaru fight was dodging arrows from his opponent from multiple spots while Kidomaru was hiding and sniping at a far distance

But once focused on a direction/target, Hinata can see upto 20km. Hiashi/Neji could see the SHinobi Alliance HQ when it was destroyed by the Juubidama.

360 vision is like uber enhanced peripheral sight. But how far does one see? Hmmm.

According to Hagoromo, the Byakugan can also be used to extend the range of genjutsu. Kaguya did so in tandem with the Rinne Sharingan to cast the Infinite Tsukuyomi on whole nations.

True. Uber sight is OP. Byakugan is nerfed at the most.
Also, I would like to know more about how exactly kaguya used her Byakugan to expand the range of her genjutsu. Technicalities still matter.

I think it's just for their natural fusion. If it was the full 360 then iirc wouldn't Neji have been able to see Kidomaru hiding? Or Hinata beeing able to see Amaterasu without turning her head to search.

There could be a set limit for the user. Neji was side branch member and could see up to 80m while Hinata is a main branch and can go as far as 20km.

Seeing as Neji was more skilled than Hinata was, I believe it has to do with genetics, with members from the branch possessing more potential of extending the distance of their vision.

I stand corrected. I think it's both. Neji seen every seal tag up to 800 meters in 360 vision so it's all around..... Tho if so then idk why in part 1 it was limited.
