Chakra is passed genetically, and once inside of the body it becomes tethered to that persons life force, killing them should their chakra system be completely shut down, which would explain why it's passed down through genes.

You do realize, that Kaguya wants to reclaim her chakra right? She was thoroughly angry that Hagoromo thought it wise to share it with everyone, meaning not everyone is a descendant of Hagoromo. And if Hagoromo tried teaching Ninshuu during his life, when he only had two sons, that means that other people had chakra at the time.

may I just clear it up that Ninshuu existed after sealing Kaguya? And Kaguya was after the chakra that Hagoromo and Hamura inherited from her.

But from the beginning Kaguya also wanted to drain everyone's chakra to create an army. As far as I understood the sequence of events, it goes like:

- Kaguya gave birth to Hago/Hamu
- Kaguya controls GT and continuously drain people's chakra
- Hago/Hamu fought Kaguya and sealed her
- Hago initiated the practise of Ninshu
- Hago had kids.
- Shit happens.

I know it was explained but that was NInshuu. Hagoromo "passed" his chakra in a Ninshuu fashion. I agree with whiteboy with this one that it is genetically passed on but we shouldn't be limited within Hagoromo's bloodline. Just think of it that everyone has had chakra but not everyone knew the existence of it, let alone how to wiled it. Enter Hagoromo, the revolutionary the one who taught how to awaken and exploit the chakra that has always been residing in each and everyone. When Kaguya wanted to drain people's chakra for her personal use, hagoromo wanted for people to know how to use it correctly fro everyone's sake.

It's not directly stated anywhere. It's just an obvious conclusion. They can't regenerate chakra because they have no chakra system, and Hagoromo's chakra by itself doesn't just multiply.

The chakra system was only a biological structure after chakra mutated humans, which is just the concept of evolution. Both in the manga and Databook Hagoromo is stated to be the first person born with chakra specifically.

I chose not to go the evolution path. If anything, mutation isn't Naruto's strongest theme. But if the databook strongly establishes chakra to be specific, then what more can I say?
