After taking shisui's eye danzo gave itachi an ultimatum:

die with your clan or kill your clan and save sasuke. Either way the clan was gonna die. Meaning their not as valuble as you or sasukefapboy2345 make them out to be. Especially sasuke, since at the best he is only seen as collateral damage

I was only addressing your post in which you degrade the entirety of the clan in comparison to a single bijuu. Kid Sasuke is not nearly as important as a bijuu from a political and military standpont
