Who was more valuable?

When both were in the village as kids, who was more valuable, Naruto, or Sasuke?

Naruto is the Jinchuriki of the most powerful beast on the face of the Earth, capable of destroying asteroids or whatever the hell his MC ass did in the movie, I forget his feats.

And in Sasuke's blood is the key to control any and all tailed beasts, learn any forbidden/secret jutsu, control leaders of other nations etc.

If you were say...the Amekage and you wanted a new power for your village, who would you choose? And think hard about this. I want to see answers from both sides and a detailed explanation if possible.

From a militaristic stand point naruto. You'd get the kyuubi, if you took sasuke you'd get the sharingan.. which wouldn't be overall as beneficial to the village as a tailed beast. Although I guess you can dissect and experiment on the sharingan though, I still say tailed beast

Jinchuriki's are their villages strongest assets and Tailed beast are also their villages strongest weapon. Hashirama gace each village a tailed beast to even out the power scale, way more significant.

However, within Sasuke's blood is the power to control a tailed beast. An Uchiha if skilled enough, could enter a village and control it's leader. A village could learn any forbidden or hidden ninjutsu and store them for the village's use. Although the Tailed Beasts are like nuclear bombs, we've seen Obito, a non-incarnate control a perfect Jinchuriki so even then, the Uchiha's eye poses an equal value to a village.

Also, when Naruto dies, Kurama is free, and since Naruto is half Uzumaki, his children likely won't be able to house any tailed beasts higher than seven. In Sasuke's case, he can simply have children, and more children to revive his clan. It seems like both Naruto and Sasuke are of equal value when it comes to thinking in the present but future-wise, it seems like the Sharingan wins out imo.

Naruto/Kyubi is clearly better. There is no guarantee that sasuke can even awaken MS if we just go by their childhood. But kyubi with or wthout naruto's control can wreck havoc. And even if MS is awakened, it is still straining and not as useful. If you are going by their adulthood then again naruto wins. As it has been seen clearly it was naruto who was protecting village better than sasuke against kinshki. Yes sasuke helped as well, i know.

Probably both. They are both rare breeds, plus they are descendants of the Sage's son.

They are stronger than the average Uchiha/Senju/Uzumaki.

I don't think Sasuke's potential was realized by the villages so Naruto was by far. But if you knew the potential of the Uchiha, along with Sasuke's genius and considering Naruto was a scrub despite being jinchuuriki, Sasuke was the more valuable, imo. BUT in reality, Naruto and Sasuke were tied, if not Naruto being the most valuable.

Sasuke was more powerful, sure the uzumaki we're hard to come but but they could've found somebody to put the nine tails in, probably tsunade .

However having the last Uchiha, a clan feared for their power, under your control is better than any tailed beast, especially when they can control them

Actually tsunade have deeper connections to the fox via her grandmother so we actually don't know what she might have did. But Tsunade was just one of many other examples, they would've kidnapped karin if needed.
