The IT is a genjutsu casted by a Rinnegan, and Sasuke is the only one able to resist it, the scan also says that a Rinnegan genjutsu might be able to be broken or resisted by another Rinnegan. Naruto lacks a Rinnegan meaning he can't resist a Rinnegan genjutsu you dumb ass.

On top of that the use of light to cast genjutsu is a Yin ability and TSB are comprised of every chakra nature including Yin, they should be able to shield the user from the moon light just like it would shield against any other jutsu.

Manga emphasized on perfect jinchuuriki being the most resistant to mind control so there's no reason for the author to contradict that..
