The chemical releases of hormones and such will, in the end, predetermine what's what in your head. Still the reactions and reason we configure from said experiences, are subject to change at a moment's notice.
EX: I was into crossdressing and I got turned on getting licked by my dog. Now I don't crossdress because I grew out that phase, and I learned my unique kink was getting licked, not from animals just from getting licked by other people.

I don't think you got my point. I meant, if it was as simple as a choice, they would obviously choose women over men if it meant not disgracing their family, but they don't. Therefore, it isn't a choice for them.
