Ok so at the end after they just sealed Kaguya and return to Earth Sasuke uses his Rinnegan to trap the Tailed Beasts. This time, roots grow out of the ground and burrow into the planetoids and begin absorbing their chakra back into the tree.
In order to buy time for the tree to regenerate from the collective chakra of the humans trapped in Tsukyomi and the Tailed Beasts, Sasuke explains his Revolution to a shocked Team 7 and uses genjutsu to knock out Sakura, who he doesn't want to get in his way. Naruto notices the tree growing back to its full size in the distance and turns into SOSP mode in preparation to take off and try to destroy the tree but Sasuke uses Shinra Tensei to send his former teammates flying backwards, giving him enough time to turn into Perfect Susanoo and fly towards the tree.
Naruto recovers quickly and attempts to catch up to Sasuke but it's too late and Sasuke is already standing on top of the tree holding the new fruit. Sasuke eats it and awakens the third eye with no other physical changes. Naruto grabs him by the neck as SOSP mode and stares him down angrily telling him the path he's taking will only end in loneliness and misery, but Sasuke is unmoved and teleports behind Naruto who spins around and tries to attack him only to see he has disappeared yet again. Sasuke creates a Susanoo hand and smacks Naruto who is sent flying into the ground far below. Sasuke then uses Chidori Spear to pin him in place, slowely levitating down towards him which keeping the technique active.
Sasuke remarks that after eating the fruit all his abilities have been enhanced, he can now teleport freely any distance at any time without cooldown and his chakra pool is nearly that of Kaguya. Naruto Launches a gudou dama at Sasuke and he catches it, telling Naruto that he was no longer worthy of being considered his rival now that their powers were on such different levels. Naruto remarks that the fruit is impairing Sasuke's judgement and that he was playing with powers beyond his ability to control. Sasuke grasps his head as he feels the Tree trying to invade his mind, Naruto escapes in this instant.
Naruto finds Kakashi with Sakura and is relieved they are ok, he tells them that Sasuke is too strong and talking to him isn't going to work at the moment. Hagaromo is still present and says he never foresaw this kind of disaster from happening but his only advice would be to attempt to siphon the rest of the chakra from the tailed beasts to complete Naruto's SOSP mode. Meanwhile Sasuke and the tree have a conversation, the tree wants to convince Sasuke to merge with it and become the new 10 tails, but Sasuke says he doesn't need any further power and doesn't want to risk losing his free will, but the Tree shows him images of Sasuke, his family and the rest of the clan, and that deluded Sasuke runs toward it and is absorbed into the trunk.
Meanwhile Naruto uses his extended limbs to grab onto each planetoid housing the tailed beasts and with Hagaromo's guidance is able to siphon their chakra into himself. Suddenly a 10 tails with the face of Sasuke towers over them and with no more time to waste Naruto transforms into a giant version of his Kurama avatar and they clash. Naruto makes clones to attempt to overwhelm the beast but each of its tails has a mouth and can fire tailed beasts balls. It quickly does away with Naruto's clones and showers the real one with a rain of wood darts, then fires a tailed beast ball at the head. When the smoke clears a black orb is visible and Naruto steps out of his Gudou Dama shield, but a giant fist then smashes him into the ground. The 10 tailed beast Sasuke continues to beat Naruto's small body until he reverts to base form. "Finally, I am free from you!" Sasuke says as he grins sadistically towards the battered and bloody Naruto.
Suddenly Sakura runs into the line of sight and goes to Naruto, cradling him and crying and looking up asking "why Sasuke? Y-you killed him! You really killed him!" Sasuke, now confused, begins to question himself internally and realizes he's being controlled by the chakra fruit and having his mind corrupted with power like Kaguya. Tears run down his monstrous face and he falls to his knees. Clasping his hands together it performs Rinne Tensei to bring Naruto back to life, becoming the emaciated version of the 10 tails. Then, all tails point inwards towards the beasts own body and fire tailed beast bombs resulting into a huge explosion. The body of the beast is now torn apart, but begins to regenerate. Seeing as that won't be enough to kill itself it looks towards the sun and disappears, teleporting itself inside the Sun itself.
Immediately after Sasuke's body reappears severely burnt and falls to the ground, the 3rd eye missing with Sasuke having used the last of the fruit's chakra to survive the Sun's heat and return to Earth. Naruto, having regained consciousness begins to stand up as Sakura runs to Sasuke and begins healing him. Sasuke says she's a fool and knocks her out again. Naruto and Sasuke lock eyes and their final battle happens as it did in the broken apart Valley of the End. After both are bleeding out Kakashi arrives and wakes up Sakura who heals them. Their conversation while bleeding out in addition to his experience with the Chakra fruit finally got Sasuke to give up his lonely path and regret his actions.
