It's just ridiculous how great of a boxer he is. Sure he's extremely proud of himself and you might not like his personality. However, you have to respect his art and his greatness. He is the greatest defensive boxer of all time.

Ain't looking good for Connor Mcgreggor. Don't see him standing much chance.

It's really dumb how this is a boxing match and not a straight up fight. Mcgreggor's way over his head.

Honestly it is looking good for Connor. My man is getting paid to get beat up. I'd do it too :lmao:

I think you're the one perpetuating the stereotype.

I would hope so. The difference between McGregor and Mayweather is that if McGregor loses, it's understandable because he's not a boxer. But if Mayweather loses, then that will hopefully be a career killer or at least a mark of shame.

Hate them both though.

I like Connor McGregor more but I wanna see Floyd slaughter him. The whole thing is fake af and obviously Connor is gonna lose but if Floyd struggles then that would be sad for him.

They're both peewees with less than an inch difference, lol.

If Floyd were to lose it would be so obvious it's fake lmao. It would become WWE at that point.

Don't see McGregor winning against someone like Mayweather. A standard UFC fight sure, my money would be on Conor for sure, but not in a boxing match.

Not really he's getting a big payday irregardless who wins and he could choose to retire with this match

I know absolutely nothing about boxing. So a legit question u think the age gap won't be a problem? Or are boxers around 40 still competetive ?

I'm a boxer myself, here are my 2 cents.

Boxers at 40 can be very competitive, just look at Klitschko for example. Problem is, your reflexes get noticeably worse.

Conor weighs just as much as me and believe me, knockouts don't happen very often in the lower weight classes. Your main way of winning is by collecting points. So McGregor winning isn't all that unrealistic, he has better reach, reflexes and knockouts aren't much of a factor. Mayweather on the other hand has much more experience and experience is way more important than the probably slim advantages Conor has over him. Not to mention that his punches are probably faster than Conors because of all the boxing training. It's almost inhuman how fast your punches get after some years of boxing.

Depends on who the boxer is honestly. If you were asking based on an offensive boxer, I'd say yeah. You lose power and reflexes like stylish said. However, Floyd is not an offensive boxer. He's a defensive boxer and he has shown us that his reflexes are as good if not better than they were in his 'prime'. He fought Manny Pacquiao while Manny was taking drugs to make him stronger and faster and Manny didn't land a meaningful punch on him. He fought Canelo Alvarez who is arguably one of the best in the weight class(We'll see in his fight with GGG) and Canelo didn't land a meaningful punch on him. He fought some of the best boxers of his weight class(es) and none of them landed a meaningful punch on him(Besides arguably Victor Ortiz).

It's truly frightening to think of what Floyd 'could' do to Connor if he actually is trying and sticking to what he does best.

I don't think McGregor will land many punches on him. There are so many better boxers who could not. I don't expect someone who hasn't even proven himself as a worthy amateur boxer to do it. However, you never know and it really does only take one punch.

Very narrow target to hit directly.

Not so much speed but reading their movements.

Not to take anything away from Ali but during his era, a lot of fighters shared a similar style with minor differences.

Mayweather is a lot faster than Ali. Ali was actually getting hit by heavyweights who aren't really all too fast. Mayweather is dodging punches from the fastest. Not only is he reading their movements, he's also reacting to it. There aren't many boxers who have landed meaningful punches on Floyd. One because of his stance, and two because of his speed.

thats where i disagree it's more his stance than everything. Dude sets his body in a way that you're either hitting his shoulder or his back. Thats why hits hard to land meaningful hits. Whereas in the vid i posted It was all air.

Idk, there are plenty of clips of Floyd straight up dodging punches. Though, you are right. A lot of his defense is his stance and deflecting most of the punches off of his back and shoulder. I still think Floyd is much faster than Ali.
