Naruto has hidden genjutsu potential

Idk how this flew passed me but Jiraiya's genjutsu was a frog SM feat

As a perfect SM user Naruto wouldn't need to rely on Pa and Ma to use sound genjutsu, he simply has to learn it from them the same way Kabuto did from the Snakes.




Of course there's no point in giving him illusion feats since it doesn't fit his character but it's interesting to see what Kishi might have thought of giving Naruto as a frog power. His high genjutsu resistance with the illusion would've made him a better Uchiha than most Uchiha

Naruto has far too much chakra and poor control. He might be able to control Kyuubi's chakra, but genjutsu for him is far more intricate and delicate than it is for Sasuke or Itachi. It takes a minimal use of chakra in order to use genjutsu, and Naruto would use far too much and the technique wouldn't hold.

Whereas Sasuke would use 5% of his chakra trying to cast a genjutsu, Naruto would use 30-40%

Understanding of all things pertains to his personal abilities don't they? He can't use genjutsu meaning he can't comprehend it.


Controlling Kyuubi's chakra isn't that big of a deal if the person giving it to you is helping you. It didn't make sense for Kurama to compare Naruto to his parents, especially Minato who had less chakra meaning better control, in regards to chakra control. Kurama's chakra is hefty, and Naruto is better with techniques that require heavy chakra.

It's a high chakra level technique, meaning he's better suited for it and can control it better. That's why he was able to do the shadow clone jutsu rather than the clone jutsu.

Jiraiya wasn't born with extremely high reserves or with a chakra beast inside of him. Sasuke had monster reserves at the summit but still used genjutsu. Growing your reserves along with your control is a natural thing, it just happens. It's different from being born with massive chakra.

He has Hagoromo's chakra, and the genjutsu is an SM feat which he has. There's nothing to suggest he doesn't meet the requirements.

No one is saying he can trick people like Itachi, but saying he doesn't have the chakra or the intelligence to use genjutsu when he's god tier is just denial. Hashi was able to use genjutsu.

Naruto is not suited to using genjutsu in a fight, doesn't mean he can't use genjutsu. It's no different to Sasuke with shadow clones.

He doesn't need it. He could just blitz everyone before anyone can do anything. Genjutsu is probably too difficult for him since it requires more mental than physical.

It could also be said that reserves themselves don't increase, just the amount of chakra you need to perform a jutsu.. ex. As kakashi and sasuke became more experienced, they where able to use raikiri and chidori more often, I don't think this was an increase in reserves, but better control of the chakra used for the tech, thus requiring, and ultimately wasting less chakra per tech
