Give a Character a Jutsu

A lot of characters are sidelined by some avid Naruto fans for not showing the feats their title deserves. What are some sensible jutsu ideas you can come up with that would give them a bit of a buff?

I'll give a few examples:

Hidan - Jashin Possession: Hidan submits himself to the will of Jashin and allows the god to take control of his body. Upon doing so, his blood becomes scorching hot and burns anything it touches. Anyone who inhales the breath of Jashin is put into an eternal slumber, adding an extra surprise element to his close quarter combat skills. In addition, Jashin has the ability to summon flying demons to attack his foes. However, this jutsu can only be undone on Jashin's command. Only devout Jashin followers can hope to earn their bodies back after using this technique.

Mei - Lava Dragon: A jutsu that can only be done by one who possesses both Lava Release and Acid Release. Mei spits out a giant lava dragon to scorch her foe. This lava dragon can unleash high pressure acid fromA its mouth.

Sakura - Therapeutic Garden: Sakura invokes a 100-meter circular perimeter filled with her chakra. Any ally in this circle will have their injuries automatically attended to, allowing Sakura to both fight and assist her allies simultaneously.



Don't feel too restricted about what characters to use, just have fun with it.

Naruto: Sage Art Ethereal Explosion - Naruto uses sage mode's control over natural energy to remotely cause quantum fluctuation induced explosions anywhere he wants.

Shikamaru/Nara clan: Darkness Possession Technique

Shikamaru realizes that a shadow is actually just a spot where less light is shining on it relative to the surrounding area. In short, a shadow is simply a relative lack of visible light in an area. A shadow is basically just darkness. After thinking about this, Shikamaru realizes that no spot in the universe is illuminated by an infinite amount of visible light. Therefore, every spot in the universe has some degree of darkness. Shikamaru then decides to apply this realization to his ninjutsu by simply controlling the darkness in the air, so that he can basically just bind someone from anywhere (even floating enemies) and he doesn't have to release a visible shadow.

Sakura- Contact based genjutsu that can't be broken

By putting hand in the same place amon does here:

She pours chakra directly into your head to create the genjutsu at her complete control (that includes time dilation or space distortion limited by her imagination only)
While her other hand that's on your neck/spine controls the nervous system intercepting all commands from the rest of the body and sending false signals to the brain. It only breaks when she is forced to let go, which is impossible on the victims side. Situational sure but cool sounding nonetheless.

I gave Sarada a simular jutsu with her sharingan, but she enters the person mind and seals their chakra off, it was her hokage jutsu

I'm visualizing something like water prison but with electricity instead... that would be pretty cool actually

What would the jutsu do exactly? A Rasengan that goes for a large area rather than a single target would be a neat addition. Of course he has his bijuudama nukes and what not, but this is a bit more appealing in my eyes.

Been watching a lot of sci-fi lately? I kid I kid, the Rinnegan ability could be really creative for battles. Maybe it can be used to abuse the 5 second limitation on ST. Shikamaru's is awesome too because I think it really fits his character to look so deep into it.

Well this thread is mostly targeting things never shown on panel. I can see the Katsuyu combination accomplishing pretty much the same thing, but I still think it would be neat.

You know I was thinking about some form of genjutsu for Sakura in the form of smell via cherry blossoms since that really hasn't been seen yet to my knowledge. The Amon grip WOULD look cooler though.

When reading Hidan and Kakazu's arc period they went up against the Fire Temple to get the bounty of a very powerful monk. This specific monk was said to be one of the 12 guardians that protected a very important person back in the day and they were extremely powerful beings that were able to use powers called The gift of the Holy Folk, and they can be identified with a little garment piece with a fire symbol on it. Asuma has that garment, and he said that he use to leave the village a lot to "find himself" once in a while, meaning that he was one of the 12 guardians.

So since Hiruzen is known for konoha style techniques, it wouldn't be surprising if Hiruzen picked that up from his son as well.
