People seem to take the statement "My goal is to restore my clan" very literally. Does anyone else agree with me that Sasuke just meant that he wanted to restore his clan's pride/honor by killing Itachi? A lot of people here seem to think he wanted to have a lot of babies and recreate the Uchiha clan, but I really don't think that is what he meant.
On another note:
I get that SasuSaku isn't the best pairing, but many people here just can't seem to accept the notion that the Uchiha clan in general is dead and gone. That is why people keep shipping Sasuke into cringy pairings with old ladies, married women, or women Sasuke hasn't even met. They seem to be trying to make hypothetical children that are more pure in Uchiha blood than Sarada, but they fail to realize that no matter who Sasuke marries, that child won't be any more Uchiha than Sarada (since there are no Uchihas females for Sasuke to marry).
Many have said that Sasuke should have had a son, but that wouldn't help either. Sure it would keep the name going a little while longer, but in terms of blood and genes, it would do nothing more than what Sarada already does.
Additionally, some people have suggested that Sasuke marry someone with a KKG or a powerful bloodline like Hanabi or Karin, but then they say that those genes (such as the byakugan) should be sealed off from the child. My question to people who suggest this is: If the wife's KKG is sealed off from the child, then how does this pairing make the child any different from Sarada? The child would just be another half Uchihas with sharingan. Without the KKG or bloodline trait of the wife, it is basically as if Sasuke just married a normal girl. Also, sealing off the wife's genes would be a total waste of power for the child.
Finally, why should Sasuke care about marrying for powerful genetics in the first place? Why not just marry the one he loves regardless of her genes?
At the end of the day, I think people just need to accept the fact that Itachi and Obito put an end to the era of the pure Uchihas that you guys desire so much. Every clan has to come to an end at some point.
