they also tried taking a jinchuriki soo. They don't discriminate. And as it stands its harder to get a byakugan than a sharingan you run the risk of running into a branch member and their eyes getting sealed upon death.

and if they got a pure byakugan they would try to unfold all its secrets so them being able to weaponize it isn't something far-fetched

how u mean? they had the only living perfect jinchuriki and another jin in training. They had practically all the sage tools. They even had a piece of the 9 tails via gold and silver bros. bruh stop in terms of weapons they're second to none. In terms of jins they're second to naruto only.
