Well if itachi has intent to win i think he will i don't think Naruto has enough experience at the time to take down a guy like itachi

And I'm not sure itachis shield can take on sage mode attacks

Naruto doesn't have any sealing moves so he couldn't really beat Itachi. Unless he make a speech that causes Itachi to let go. Even with the balls there's a chance he would miss since Itachi would not let himself get hit by one.
