Now I'm not saying that Tobirama is stronger just because he can take yin yang release attack better than Hashirama, but it does explain why these two senju brothers grids are different.

Tobirama is proficient in both yin element and yang element while Hashirama is not as strong in his yin element. So because Tobirama is better in yin element and yang element, he is able to handle the kekkai genkai yin yang release better.

Just because Hashirama doesn't have a yin element on his grid does not mean he can't use it at all. It just means that it's not his best like Jiriaya and Naruto.

But he is a genjutsu user. Tsuande doesn't have it either.
I think the yin element is more inline with aptitude towards mental abilities.

But was it ever shown in DB that Hashi has Yin affinity? Bec if he doesn't have it yet he has genjutsu abilities, then that is a breach or a display of might. Hashi is a GOD.

It wasn't really a creative genjutsu though, It literally just blocked off ones sight.
NO creativity or intellegence involved, and the target would know they where under genjutsu.

Having a chakra nature doesn't mean anything if the person lacks talent. Sakura had a strong Yin affinity but was better at using Yang. Tobirama and Hashirama both have +5 chakra natures, yet neither of them can use all elements in a talented manner. The only person to do so in history was Hiruzen.

Tobirama and Hashirama both have +5 chakra natures, yet neither of them can use all elements in a talented manner. The only person to do so in history was Hiruzen.

Sakura was good in both yin element and yang element showing no strong suit in the other. She's well balance every since part 1.
