“This is funny,” Sasuke says after letting out a huge laugh. “I’ve wanted to fight you since the Chunin exams.”
“I can say the same,” Neji replies.
Sasuke appears in front of Neji with his sword ready to land a blow. With great speed, Neji ducks and grabs a kunai from his pouch to ensue the imminent, ongoing blows from Sasuke. The sword and kunai clash several times. On the last clash, Sasuke streams lightning along the length of his blade, ensuring that the blade slices through the kunai. Shocked that Sasuke had just cut through his defense, Neji quickly blows Sasuke away with an Air Palm, afraid that if that lightning blade touches him, it’s over. Sasuke lands on his feet nearly thirty yards away.
Sasuke plants his sword into the ground, then undoes the bandages on his two arms. Touching his wrists, shuriken are summoned. And with haste, Sasuke throws them towards Neji, conjuring one after the other for an endless, overwhelming barrage of shurikens.
Knowing that the unending shurikens would undoubtedly drain him of chakra to maintain Rotation, Neji decides on a defense with more kunai. He grabs two from his pouch and fights off each and every shuriken. While still defending himself from the onslaught of shurikens, Sasuke appears behind Neji, ready to deliver the final blow: a Chidori.
With the Byakugan, Neji notices the attack and starts spinning as fast as he can, knocking Sasuke backwards. Sasuke weaves five hand signs and spews a large ball of fire in Neji’s direction. Neji quickly jumps out of the way. But then he sees multiple, smaller balls of fire coming towards him.
“8 Trigrams: Air Palms!” Neji lets out a series of Air Palms, taking out each of the fires. As Neji is looking at Sasuke, he notices a change in the Sharingan’s pattern. Neji then falls to his knees and to the ground, succumbing to Sasuke’s genjutsu.
Sasuke walks past Neji to retrieve his sword so that he could end the battle.
“You’re in range,” Neji says.
“Ngh! How is that possible?!”
