The answer you wanna hear? Yes, because that's really the only way he could get in there without someone lowering the barrier. The REAL answer? No, he just appeared in there and no one at sp really thought of the details, they just had naruto pop up.... cause you know.. naruto

Like I was saying I believe the barrier allowed stuff in but not out. It makes sense as they need to contain the beast AND allow reinforcements to come in and support it.

I also think the same. Also, why would Naruto, the Seventh Hokage know the jutsu barrier and enter by himself?
Kakashi said to Naruto to go support in the barrier. So he does knows how to perform it.
