Every character was cool and got quality panels and story. But part 2 was a disappointment and most characters didn't get development. It became all about Naruto running after sasuke. Only he was his friend. No one else in the k11 mattered.

I agree , only thing I liked about part 2 is introduction of 5 kages.

When they are exhausted they resort back to the basics.

Pretty sure hiding in a tree won't save you from that stuff HOWEVER if you survive it still won't work as the shinobi are WAY TOO EXPERIENCED to fall for such tricks.

Part 2 had some fights with decent strategies, but they're a bit spread out. There wasn't something like the Chunin Exams or the SRA (Sound 5 + Sasuke) fights, which had several consecutive battles that primarily focused on tactics. Part 2 also has a lot of fights that did not require hardcore tactics, so its good:bad ratio is lower than Part 1.

I for one love tactics in shonen battles! It's part of the reason I love Hunter x Hunter.
